Punchd is a time clock and pay tracker for hourly workers, published by Benjamin Jacobs of Swell & Stack Co. LLC dba Swell & Stack Co., a Wyoming limited liability company. It is built to run entirely on your device. No data collected. That is not a simplification — Punchd has no servers, no accounts and nothing to send.
Punchd does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no sign-up, no login, no email capture, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter and no tracking of any kind. Punchd does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites. Its only network traffic comes from Apple's own StoreKit framework when it checks or processes a subscription, apart from web pages you choose to open from Settings (privacy, terms, support).
Your jobs, hourly rates, shifts, breaks, notes, pay-period settings and saved paycheck checks are stored in a local database inside Punchd's own App Group container on your iPhone or iPad. That container is shared only between the Punchd app, its widgets and its Live Activity, all of which run on your device. Nothing in it leaves the device, and we cannot read it. If you have iCloud Backup turned on, that data may be included in your own encrypted device backup, which is between you and Apple.
Punchd embeds no third-party analytics, attribution, advertising or crash-reporting libraries. The only frameworks it uses are Apple's own: SwiftUI, SwiftData, WidgetKit, ActivityKit and StoreKit.
Punchd Pro is an auto-renewing subscription — $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, each with a 7-day free trial — sold and billed by Apple. When you subscribe, Apple processes the purchase. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account. Punchd only asks StoreKit whether an active subscription exists and keeps the yes-or-no answer on your device so the app and its widgets know what to show. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
When you export a timesheet as a PDF or CSV, the file is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next — Mail, Files, Messages, a printer — is entirely your choice, and we have no visibility into it.
Delete the Punchd app from your device. Because everything lives in the app's own container, iOS removes all of it — shifts, jobs, rates, settings and saved paycheck checks — when the app is deleted. There is no server-side copy for us to delete, and no request you need to send us. Export anything you want to keep before you delete the app. If you also want to end a subscription, cancel it separately in iOS Settings; deleting an app does not cancel its subscription.
Punchd is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
